Job Description:

The L1 NOC Engineer is part of the technical team, supporting Dimension Data cloud’s 24/7 System Management responsibilities for our clients. The L1 NOC Engineer monitors and maintains our customer’s site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
The goal of the team, and the overall support organization, is to build strong customer relationships, and deliver total customer satisfaction through world-class support
What we expect you to do:
This position will be monitoring the network management system; reporting problems to carriers; troubleshooting customer issues; reviewing and creating documentation; managing trouble tickets; escalating issues; working with engineers to resolve issues and alerts; and generating periodic reports when needed. 
Candidates should possess excellent people skills, with both customers and co-workers, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving abilities, and experience with technology.


  • Activity documentation
  • First level support for all monitoring events
  • Follow up on all open tickets
  • Jr. Level 1 technical support for all customer alerts based on documented instructions
  • Remedial administration
  • Responding to customer questions via phone and email 
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Tracking internal and external maintenance
